A renaissance woman, Lisa R. Sulgit is taking a break from more than 20 years in the NYC business world taking her creativity to new levels drawing, painting and figure modeling. Lisa has a unique vision and is part of a circle of notable artists centered around the legendary Spring Studio in SoHo.
“I wondered what experience I could bring to art. As I started to create and model, I noticed artists and non-artists alike responding,” she says. “It’s been incredibly empowering to overcome my fears and see the myriad results.”
Re-engaging with art again allows Lisa to live her mantras: “work doesn’t have to suck” and “communicate simply.” Working with other artists showcases the incredible variety in how artists achieve their visions. Definitely an inspiring way to work that doesn’t suck!
Lisa’s business pedigree includes stints managing technology at Time Inc., the magazine division of Time Warner, and account managing the New York Times Electronic Edition.
In addition to her art, Lisa continues to mentor high-potential managers and leaders through WOMEN Unlimited’s TEAM program (Training for Emerging and Aspiring Managers). Her portfolio of work includes home and office organizing, writing, editing and simplifying everything from words to websites.
